Second World Culture Festival Begins in Hanoi
Organized to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of Vietnam's UNESCO membership, the event brings together numerous countries and artists.
The Imperial Citadel of Thang Long in Hanoi is hosting the World Culture Festival for the second time, held from October 1 to 4 under the theme "Connecting Heritage - Shaping the Future."
Scope and Purpose of the Festival
The Second World Culture Festival is being carried out to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Vietnam's UNESCO membership. The event aims to develop international cultural ties and promote heritage values.
Broad Participation and Events
Expanding in both scale and content this year, the festival has secured the participation of 50 countries, international organizations, and businesses. The program features events in the fields of culture, art, music, cuisine, film, and fashion.
Rich Content and Zones
Within the scope of the event, there are 45 cultural spaces, 35 food stalls, and film screenings featuring 19 countries. Additionally, a fashion area showcasing traditional costumes from 19 countries is offered to visitors.
Opening and Closing Ceremonies
The opening ceremony, which began on October 1, and the closing night to be held on October 4, bring together numerous domestic and foreign artists. Artistic troupes from many different countries take the stage in the program.
Culture Village and Street Festivals
Among the most important parts of the event series are the World Culture Village and the Five Continents Music Festival. International parades are organized during the street festival on Ho Guom pedestrian street.
