According to the German federal prosecution's statement, terrorist attacks were planned to be carried out in Germany and Austria close to the second anniversary of the October 7 massacre.
Secret Weapons Depots Established Across Europe
It was determined that the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, established secret weapons depots in Europe and that the suspects were responsible for these depots.
Arrest Operations and Nationalities of the Suspects
Among the suspects captured in operations carried out between October 2025 and May 2026 are German, Danish, Lebanese, and Bulgarian citizens.
Intelligence Reports and Number of Organization Members
According to German domestic intelligence reports, the number of Hamas members in the country reached 650 in 2025, and numerous Hezbollah members are also known to operate there.
