Following these developments, Saudi authorities sent out alert messages around midnight regarding potential dangers around the capital, urging the public to take precautions.
Houthi Attack Claims
Yemen's Houthis officially announced on Saturday that they targeted sensitive areas in the Saudi capital of Riyadh with missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles.
The group also claimed to have launched an attack on an Aramco facility in Yanbu, one of the country's major oil export hubs.
Intervention by Air Defense Systems
The military coalition led by Saudi Arabia announced that air defense systems destroyed a missile fired toward Riyadh.
The coalition also shared with the public that attack attempts targeting the cities of Bish, Farasan, Taif, and Yanbu were successfully thwarted.
Warning from Civil Defense Teams
Saudi civil defense units issued danger warning notifications to citizens for the capital Riyadh and the Al-Kharj regions.
