Trump Wants to Turn Florida Golf Club into a New Camp David

US President Donald Trump has announced a plan to transform his golf club in Florida into a Camp David-style presidential retreat without imposing financial costs on the federal government.

New Plan for the Golf Club in Florida

US President Donald Trump announced that he wants to turn the Trump International Golf Club facility located in West Palm Beach, Florida, into a new Camp David-style presidential retreat center. Under the project, the golf club will cover the construction costs and provide free membership to future presidents.

Prominent Features of the Facility

Located about two minutes away from the airport, the facility is planned to offer accommodation opportunities for foreign state guests as well. Unlike the historic and modest Camp David located in a wooded area in Maryland, this facility will draw attention with its luxury structure.

Security Grounds and Official Correspondence

It was stated that Secret Service officials first proposed this idea on the grounds that there are no high-rise buildings or residences in the surrounding area. In a September letter sent by the golf course's attorney to the regional commission, it was stated that it was proposed to allocate the facility as the US Presidential Golf Course without bringing any financial cost to the federal government.
