Commemorative Ceremony at the Pentagon

US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump took part in the official commemorative ceremony held at the Pentagon on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.

During the ceremony, the names of the 184 people who lost their lives as a result of the planes crashing into the building were read out individually to commemorate them.

Tribute to the Victims

The bells tolled after each name read out at the ceremony served as a reminder of those who lost their lives in the Pentagon, the World Trade Center, and the planes that crashed in the countryside of Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

In his speech, President Trump remembered some of the victims who died in the attacks and emphasized the country's defense determination.

National Unity and Solidarity

Touching upon the spirit of solidarity that emerged in the country following the attacks, Trump stated that the true spirit of the nation came to light in those days.

He noted that everyone felt like a New Yorker and united like a single family during those difficult days.

Ceremonies at Different Locations

As part of this year's anniversary commemorations, Vice President JD Vance attended ceremonies in New York, while administration officials gathered in Shanksville to honor the passengers and crew who lost their lives.

This event marked the second consecutive year that Trump observed the 9/11 anniversary at the Pentagon.

Statements Regarding Iran

At the Pentagon ceremony, President Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth drew a direct connection between the legacy of 9/11 and the ongoing conflict between the US and Iran.

Praising the American soldiers serving in the operations, Trump stated that Iran, which he described as the world's leading state sponsor of terror, must not be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons.
