Geographical Name Change Debates

This proposal came after Trump renamed Lake Ontario to Lake America during the trade war with Canada in recent weeks and referred to the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America on his inauguration day in January 2025.

Military Tension in the Region and Oil Shipments

Following the war initiated by Iran, Israel, and the US, the critical transit point through which one-fifth of the world's oil passes was closed. Oil prices rose again following new airstrikes conducted by US forces in the region on Tuesday.
