Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that they hold the upper hand in the war in Ukraine and have captured a significant area in the Donetsk region, declaring that they will not sit at the negotiating table with the Ukrainian administration.
Latest Situation on the Battlefield
In statements made on Tuesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed that Russia is progressing on the path to victory in the war in Ukraine and has no doubt that the enemy will ultimately collapse.
Putin claimed that 270 square kilometers of territory were captured in the Donetsk region in August and that a large group of Ukrainian troops was surrounded.
Statements on Negotiation and Terrorism
Speaking at a press conference following a summit in Kyrgyzstan, Putin described the Ukrainian leadership as "terrorists" and emphasized that it is impossible to negotiate with such individuals.
Despite this, Putin added that Moscow could be open to concrete talks if a new momentum for resolving the conflict is gained.
Military Operations and Infrastructure
While Putin acknowledged that Ukraine's attacks on Russian territory have caused real damage, he dismissed rumors of issuing a new military mobilization order as absolute nonsense.
Stating that Russian forces are advancing toward the cities of Sloviansk and Kramatorsk, Putin noted that Moscow is preparing for large-scale attacks targeting Ukraine's energy infrastructure.
