Boston College Professor of Philosophy and Catholic priest Father Philip Larrey made evaluations during the event titled Female Monasteries in the Age of Artificial Intelligence held in Rome. He stated that artificial intelligence can alleviate the workload of religious communities without hindering their prayer life.

Father Philip Larrey spoke at a training course held on October 27-28 at the Istituto Maria Santissima Bambina in Rome. Pointing out that the limits of technology must be recognized and used responsibly, Larrey emphasized that artificial intelligence could be useful for certain practical tasks in monasteries.

The course titled Female Monasteries in the Age of Artificial Intelligence, organized by the Ad Bonum Facere ETS Foundation, was established by monasteries and federations of cloistered nuns from different traditions. Established in 2025, the foundation addresses legal, financial, and administrative responsibilities within the framework of human beings, communication, new technologies, and the papal encyclical.
