The Interregional Artificial Intelligence Capacity Building Dialogue was held as part of Vietnam International Digital Week 2026 (VIDW 2026) in Quang Ninh. The event addressed bridging the talent gap, safe and human-centric governance, and enhancing international cooperation.

During the dialogue session organized in partnership with the Ministry of Science and Technology and the United Nations, it was emphasized that deficiencies in human resources, data, and computing infrastructure limit countries' artificial intelligence development efforts. Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Tran Trung Tinh stated that Vietnam has adopted a risk-based and human-centric approach, drawing attention to the Artificial Intelligence Law approved in December 2025. The recommendations compiled at the end of the event are planned to be submitted to the Global Artificial Intelligence Governance Dialogue to be held in New York in 2027.
