In a speech on climate change and global security at a university in Abu Dhabi, Dr. Abdulla Belhaif Al Nuaimi called for the establishment of an international framework and a specialized agency to prevent the misuse of artificial intelligence and protect the future.

Speaking at an event held in Abu Dhabi, Dr. Abdulla Belhaif Al Nuaimi stated that no single country or company can manage artificial intelligence on its own, emphasizing that global regulation is imperative to ensure the technology serves peace, security, and humanity. He noted that 60 percent of young people believe artificial intelligence will impact their future jobs, while 40 percent are concerned about privacy threats.

Comparing the risks of artificial intelligence to nuclear technology, Al Nuaimi advocated for the establishment of an International Artificial Intelligence Agency modeled after the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in order to monitor dual-use technologies, establish verification standards, and prevent advanced artificial intelligence capabilities from falling into the hands of dangerous actors.
