CEZERİLAB Artuklu Science Festival Opens Its Doors in Mardin
Held with TÜBİTAK support in Mardin's Artuklu district, the first science festival CEZERİLAB brings young people together with science through numerous workshops ranging from robotic coding to artificial intelligence.
The "CEZERİLAB Artuklu Science Festival", realized within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 4007 Science Festivals Support Program in Artuklu, Mardin, started with a ceremony held at 15 Temmuz Demokrasi ve Şehitler Park.
Technology and Design in the Footsteps of Al-Jazari
Carried out under the leadership of the Artuklu District National Education Directorate and coordinated by the Prof. Dr. Aziz Sancar Science and Art Center, the festival draws inspiration from the works of Al-Jazari, one of the pioneering figures in the history of science. The event blends the historical heritage of the region with modern technology through workshops built on stone, design, and coding themes.
Participating students find the opportunity to gain experience in hands-on stations prepared in the fields of robotic coding, artificial intelligence, engineering, three-dimensional design, virtual reality, and basic sciences. The festival aims to develop children's and young people's sense of curiosity, foster scientific thinking skills, and spread the science culture in the region.
