Cooperation Between Turkey and Japan Plays a Critical Role in Overcoming Global Crises

Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar spoke at the decoration ceremony organized by the Embassy of Japan in Ankara in honor of former Tokyo Ambassador Hasan Murat Mercan. Stating that the world is experiencing some of the largest energy crises of modern times, Bayraktar noted that in this challenging period marked by disruptions in global supply chains and trade wars, Turkey and Japan will overcome these difficulties together by taking their cooperation further.

Stating that the two countries have signed important partnerships in the fields of energy, trade, industry, culture, and art, Bayraktar thanked Hasan Murat Mercan on behalf of the state for his contributions to the development of Turkish-Japanese relations during his tenure. Expressing that Mercan's efforts were appreciated and deemed worthy of a decoration by the Japanese government and the Emperor, Bayraktar voiced his belief that cooperation will be further strengthened through the joint efforts of relevant institutions, the business world, and non-governmental organizations.
