New era begins for cybersecurity in the digital finance sector
Within the framework of the Presidential Annual Program, it is aimed to establish a sectoral computer emergency response team and ensure coordination among payment service providers in order to enhance the security of digital finance institutions.
According to the regulations in the Presidential Annual Program, new steps will be taken to raise security standards and increase institutionalism in Turkey's digital finance sector.
Within the framework of the program, alongside measures to protect competition between banks and non-bank payment service providers, strengthening the cybersecurity infrastructure is planned. In line with this, a sectoral computer emergency response team (SOME) will be established to ensure cybersecurity coordination among payment service providers.
The new regulation aims to improve the management of outsourcing risks and auditing processes. Thus, it is aimed to establish a faster and more coordinated response mechanism against cyberattacks.
