Details of the Investment Round
Pluto Security secured a total of $42 million in funding, comprising an $8.5 million seed round led by TLV Partners and a $34 million Series A round led by Jump Capital.
The Security Dimension of Artificial Intelligence
Granting all employees access to AI tools leads users to utilize these tools in unexpected ways and creates new security vulnerabilities. According to Shahar Bahat, CEO and co-founder of Pluto Security, a newly released AI tool can appear within corporate environments within two hours of its launch.
Sources of Risk and the Finance Department
Approximately 60% of the risks detected in Pluto's customer base originate from tools created by non-developer personnel. Finance departments lead the way as the source of these types of risks.
Customer Base and Revenue Growth
Having started selling its technology in April, the startup quickly reached over $2 million in annual recurring revenue. The company's customer portfolio includes more than thirty enterprise clients, among them Oscar Health, Workato, Sixt, and AlphaSense.
Real-Time Monitoring and Intervention
Pluto's software monitors AI tools, capabilities, extensions, MCP servers, and agent behaviors in real-time. By deploying lightweight models at endpoints to evaluate agent actions, the system can intervene if permissions exceed intended boundaries.
