With a protocol signed through European grant program support, sustainable training sessions will be provided to enhance women's safety.
Within the scope of the cooperation protocol signed between Istanbul Nişantaşı University and Samsunspor Club, numerous self-defense training sessions will be organized throughout the academic year to increase women's safety and develop their self-confidence.
Signing and Scope of the Protocol
The official protocol was signed by Istanbul Nişantaşı University Rector Prof. Dr. Ayşegül Komşuoğlu Çıtıpıtıoğlu and Executive Board Member and Head of Marketing Department Zeycan Rochelle Yıldırım.
Within the framework of this agreement, it is planned to organize more than ten self-defense training sessions for women during the new academic year.
Support from the Grant Program
This meaningful collaboration is financed with the support of the Symbol of Change Grant program, brought to life through the partnership of European Club Association and EA SPORTS FC.
This provided grant support plays a critical role in enabling projects to reach broader audiences and gain a sustainable structure.
Goals of the Training Sessions
The primary objective of the project is to enhance women's safety, develop their self-confidence, and equip them with the necessary knowledge and skills to protect themselves.
Acting as a continuation of the efforts carried out within the scope of the Purple Jersey Project, this initiative aims to go beyond one-off workshops.
Social Benefit and Future Plans
Samsunspor Club resolutely continues its mission of transforming the unifying power of football into social benefit with this project.
Club officials emphasize that they will continue to develop similar projects that will contribute to the empowerment of women.
