After a meeting with Cihan Kamer and Oğuz Çetin, board members responsible for the football branch, President Aziz Yıldırım concluded that a change was necessary and reached a mutual agreement with Kartal.
At the board of directors meeting held after the Galatasaray derby, a decision was made to go for a managerial change. Upon this development, President Aziz Yıldırım came together with İsmail Kartal to ensure the contract was mutually terminated. The club has officially begun the search for a new head coach.
