Working Hours of Hospitals, Family Health Centers, and Pharmacies on October 28-29, 2026

On Wednesday, October 28, 2026, the eve of Republic Day, healthcare institutions will operate on a half-day schedule as the public holiday starts at 1:00 PM. In the afternoon, emergency services and duty pharmacies will continue to provide services.

On Wednesday, October 28, 2026, routine outpatient clinics in state hospitals and family health centers will serve from morning hours until 1:00 PM. With the start of the official holiday, routine outpatient and family medicine services will be paused in the afternoon. Hospital emergency services and 112 Emergency Health services will continue uninterrupted throughout the holiday. Pharmacies will be open on October 28 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and after 1:00 PM, they will switch to the duty pharmacy system. On Thursday, October 29, due to the public holiday, family health centers will remain closed, no outpatient services will be provided at state hospitals, and pharmacies will operate through duty pharmacies. Routine operations at healthcare institutions are expected to resume on Friday, October 30, 2026.
