Anthropic Merges Claude Chat and Cowork Interfaces
Aiming to eliminate user confusion regarding which tab or interface to choose, Anthropic has announced a new design that merges Claude chat and Cowork components into a single window, automatically routing requests.
Artificial intelligence company Anthropic is consolidating the Claude chat and Cowork interfaces under a single roof to eliminate the confusion users experience when deciding which tab or window to choose for different tasks.
Access Through a Single Interface
Thanks to the new unified interface, users can easily access chat, Cowork, and the Artifacts system—an interactive workspace feature—through a single window.
The Claude Design feature, introduced in April for website and prototype design, can now also actively operate anywhere within the system.
Automatic Request Routing
The company noted that customers previously struggled to select the right tab for the right task.
With the new design, the system automatically routes incoming requests to the relevant areas without requiring users to switch tabs or windows.
Presentation and Document Tools
Anthropic is also adding dedicated features for creating presentations and documents to the system.
While users can ask the AI assistant to create, edit, and present slides, they can also download the prepared presentation in PDF or PowerPoint format.
With the Docs feature, users can collaborate with Claude to create sections, ask questions, and comment on completed parts.
Plan and Rollout Schedule
The created documents or slides can be shared via a link and edited from mobile phones as well.
These new features will first be rolled out to Pro and Max plan users across web, desktop, and mobile platforms in the coming weeks, with plans to expand them to free and team tiers later.
