Ricursive Intelligence Founders to Speak at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026
Anna Goldie and Azalia Mirhoseini, founders of artificial intelligence-based chip design company Ricursive Intelligence, will discuss their goals to accelerate hardware development processes.
Ricursive Intelligence co-founders Anna Goldie and Azalia Mirhoseini will discuss the future where AI designs its own hardware and their goal to reduce design processes to weeks at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026.
AI-Powered Chip Design
AI models require more powerful chips, but designing these chips stands out as a slow and complex process. Ricursive Intelligence is developing AI systems that can design chips, learn from the process, and improve subsequent designs in order to accelerate hardware development.
Goal to Shorten Design Time
Today, designing a new chip can take two to three years. Ricursive Intelligence aims to reduce this lengthy process down to weeks. At the event, the founders will address closing the loop between AI and chip development and building self-improving systems.
Past Achievements and Investments
Before founding Ricursive, the founders led the AlphaChip project within Google and contributed to the design of Google Tensor Processing Units chips. Founded in late 2025, the startup quickly reached a significant financial scale with investments that also included Nvidia.
