Organization of Projects
Mayor Bryan Van Devender stated that the artificial intelligence will help organize which paperwork needs to be filled out, especially for upcoming projects. There are currently five grant-supported projects running simultaneously, and the system will provide great convenience amidst this heavy workload.
Will Not Replace Human Labor
Mayor Van Devender emphasized that this technology will not be used to replace human workers and that no one is losing their job. Engineers, contractors, phone operators, and council members will continue their duties as before.
Working Principle of the System
The new program is designed to fill in the gaps that were previously not filled by human labor. All city employees will be able to use the program for their tasks, but use is not mandatory.
Human Supervision Requirement
The artificial intelligence program has been programmed not to submit or share any content unless reviewed and approved by a human. The system will operate entirely under human control.
