212 Photography Istanbul Begins with its Ninth Edition

Organized for its ninth edition between September 26 and October 11, 212 Photography Istanbul is preparing to meet art lovers in Istanbul's diverse cultural and historical venues in the 200th year of photography.

Festival Venues

The events to be held in Istanbul within the scope of the Turkey Culture Route Festival will be presented to the visitors of art lovers at more than twenty-five different architectural and historical points of the city.

Tophane-i Amire Culture and Arts Center, Galata Greek School, 212 Studio, Akaretler, Eski Posta Han, St. Benoît Church, and Yapı Kredi bomontiada are among the main venues that will host the exhibitions.

Featured Exhibitions

While Yann Arthus-Bertrand's exhibition focusing on his productions from the 1970s to the present day will meet the audience at Tophane-i Amire, works by eighteen Scandinavian photographers will be exhibited at 212 Studio.

In addition, Martin Parr's retrospective exhibition offering a comprehensive look at his career can be seen at the Galata Greek School, and Brazilian modernist photography at Eski Posta Han.

Artists and Events

While Omar Victor Diop addresses identity issues through his self-portraits in the program, Catherine Nelson offers dreamlike compositions, and David Szauder contributes with his artificial intelligence-supported works.

Talks, film screenings, and book signings will be held at Minoa, Pera Museum, and Soho House, while the festival program is expanded with different experience areas.
