33. Uluslararası Aspendos Opera ve Bale Festivali 12 Eylül'de başlayacak

Organized for the thirty-third time this year by the General Directorate of State Opera and Ballet, the International Aspendos Opera and Ballet Festival will open its doors at the Aspendos Ancient Theatre between September twelfth and twenty-sixth.

History and Scope of the Festival

Within the scope of the event to be held at the thousands-of-years-old Aspendos Ancient Theatre, a total of four works will be presented to the audience with six performances. First organized in nineteen ninety-four, the organization gained international status in nineteen ninety-eight and became a member of the European Festivals Association in two thousand and three.

Grand Opening with Attila Opera

The event will open on Saturday, September twelfth at twenty-one hundred hours with Giuseppe Verdi's opera Attila, staged by the Antalya State Opera and Ballet Directorate. The musical direction of the work will be undertaken by orchestra conductor Lorenzo Castriota and chorus master Mahir Seyrek, while its direction is carried out by Yiğit Günsoy.

Anna Karenina Ballet to Be Staged

As part of the program, the ballet Anna Karenina, adapted from Lev Tolstoy's immortal work, will meet the audience on the evening of Tuesday, September fifteenth. Brought to the stage by the Antalya State Opera and Ballet, the choreography of the work bears the signature of Young Soon Hue.

Carmina Burana and Spartacus Excitement

Carl Orff's famous stage cantata Carmina Burana will be presented to the appreciation of art lovers with two performances on September nineteenth and twenty-first at the festival. The closing will be carried out on September twenty-fifth and twenty-sixth with the ballet Spartacus, to be staged by the team of the Abay State Kazakh National Opera and Ballet Theatre participating in the festival from Kazakhstan.
