Ankara Culture Road Festival Flavor Points Introduced
The Flavor Points Project within the scope of the Culture Road Festival in Ankara was announced to the public hosted by Chef Mehmet Yalçınkaya.

The Flavor Points Project, carried out by the Turkey Tourism Promotion and Development Agency, was introduced with a program hosted by Chef Mehmet Yalçınkaya in Ankara.
Within the scope of the program, Chef Mehmet Yalçınkaya presented the 'Ankara at One Table' menu, specially prepared for the festival, to the appreciation of the guests.
Ankara's Special Menu
The menu introduced by Chef Mehmet Yalçınkaya included Kalecik karası hardaliye (fermented grape juice with mustard), dene soup, and eggplant bayıldım.
The menu also features liver in milk, black pumpkin cizleme (flatbread), sorrel buzlaması, Ayaş tomato, Ankara tava, and Çubuk sour cherry pudding.
City with the Widest Selection
Within the scope of the project, a total of 817 flavor points were determined in 19 cities, while Ankara stood out as the city with the widest selection to date with 60 flavor points.
It aims to make the gastronomic identity of the cities visible and promote local culinary culture.
Statements by Elif Balcı Fisunoğlu
TGA Tourism Operations and Development Deputy General Manager Elif Balcı Fisunoğlu stated that the flavor points were determined by an advisory board consisting of award-winning chefs and academics.
Fisunoğlu emphasized that food and beverage is a very important heading in the tourism economy and that good taste extends the length of stay of tourists.
International Promotion and Tourism
It was stated that the places that received the flavor point title carry this title throughout the year.
The flavor points are presented to domestic and foreign tourists in 11 languages on the Culture Road Festival websites and the GOTürkiye platform.
Evaluations by Chef Mehmet Yalçınkaya
Chef Mehmet Yalçınkaya stated that they determined Ankara's prominent flavors together with the delegation and hung the signs on the businesses.
Stating that the issue is not just food but the product itself, Yalçınkaya noted that Ankara's old patisseries, soup houses, restaurants, and döner shops are also included in the project.
