Dental Treatment of 200 People Completed at the Ayvalık Festival for Persons with Disabilities
As part of the 34th Festival for Persons with Disabilities held in Ayvalık, Balıkesir, 200 disabled individuals from various cities regained their health.
Within the framework of the 34th Culture, Art and Sports Festival for Persons with Disabilities held this year in Ayvalık, Balıkesir, oral and dental examinations and treatments of 200 disabled individuals from various provinces of Turkey were successfully completed.
Health Initiative Carried Out Within the Scope of the Festival
The 34th Culture, Art and Sports Festival for Persons with Disabilities, organized in Ayvalık, Balıkesir in cooperation with the Turkey Confederation of the Disabled and the Municipality of Ayvalık, hosted a meaningful health initiative.
Interinstitutional Cooperation and Participation
The organization, carried out in partnership with the Federation of the Intellectually Disabled, the Municipality of Ayvalık, and the Dentists Without Obstacles Association, was attended by 200 disabled individuals from various cities of Turkey.
Treatments Lasting for Four Days
During the activities carried out for four days at the Ayvalık Municipality Special Children's Education House, oral and dental health services were provided to disabled individuals by volunteer dentists.
Awareness and Educational Activities
In addition to health services, comprehensive awareness-raising activities regarding oral and dental health were organized for disabled individuals.
Long-standing Efforts by the Association President
Ertuğrul Sabah, President of the Dentists Without Obstacles Association, stated that they have been carrying out activities for disabled individuals for about thirty years and continue these services all over Turkey.
Evaluations by the Mayor of Ayvalık
Ayvalık Mayor Mesut Ergin expressed their satisfaction with being a stakeholder of the project in Ayvalık and wished for the study to become widespread across Turkey.
