Ottoman Traces in Rumelia Exhibition Opens to Visitors in Sarajevo
Prepared by Kuveyt Türk and reflecting the Ottoman architectural heritage in the Balkans through the art of miniature, the exhibition met with art enthusiasts in Sarajevo.
Kuveyt Türk's "Ottoman Traces in Rumelia" exhibition, which addresses the Ottoman cultural heritage in the Balkan geography through the art of miniature, opened to visitors at the Gazi Husrev-beg Hanikah, the Museum of Islamic Culture and Art in Sarajevo, which inspired the works.
Opening Ceremony of the Exhibition Held
The opening ceremony of the exhibition, which opened its doors on September 24, was attended by the Turkish Ambassador to Sarajevo Emin Akseki, Kuveyt Türk Deputy General Manager Responsible for Human Resources and Strategy Semih Sel, artist Gülçin Anmaç, and numerous art enthusiasts.
Transferring Cultural Heritage to the Future
Speaking at the opening, Kuveyt Türk Deputy General Manager Semih Sel stated that they consider transferring cultural heritage from tradition to the future as an important area of responsibility for the institution.
Ottoman Works Through the Art of Miniature
Consisting of works in which artist Gülçin Anmaç interprets Ottoman traces in the Rumelia geography, the exhibition makes many religious and civil architectural examples, from mosques to bridges, madrasas to bazaars, visible with the delicate style of miniature art.
Consisting of a collection of 35 works selected from 11 countries and 29 cities in the Balkan geography, the collection was first exhibited in December 2025 at the Tophane-i Amire Culture Center in Istanbul.
