As a busy week in the world of culture and arts was left behind, the inaugural International Eskişehir Porsuk Festival drew great interest, the details for the Ayvalık International Film Festival and the 33rd International Adana Golden Boll Film Festival were finalized, and the Filmekimi calendar for autumn was announced.
International Eskişehir Porsuk Festival Concludes
Realized for the first time this year by the Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality, the International Eskişehir Porsuk Festival hosted approximately 100,000 art lovers between September 2 and 6.
While 136 artists from 21 countries participated throughout the event, the festival concluded with a symphonic concert by mor ve ötesi.
Ayvalık International Film Festival Begins
Organized by the Seyir Association, the Ayvalık International Film Festival will bring 76 films from around the world to audiences between September 14 and 20.
As the opening film, Pedro Almodóvar's work The Room Next Door will be screened in Turkey for the first time at the festival.
Adana Golden Boll Film Festival Finalists Finalized
The finalist films to compete in the National Feature Film Competition of the 33rd International Adana Golden Boll Film Festival have been announced.
In the competition where Zuhal Olcay will serve as the jury president, 10 films, including 5 world premieres, will compete for awards.
Filmekimi Meets Cinephiles in Autumn
Organized by İKSV, Filmekimi will appear before cinephiles in Istanbul, Ankara, İzmir, and Mersin throughout October.
Tickets for the screenings, which also include award-winning productions from the Cannes Film Festival, will go on sale on October 2.
