Steps for cultural cooperation taken between Turkey and Uzbekistan

Visiting Tashkent for the thirty-fifth anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence, Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy met with Uzbekistan's Minister of Culture Ozodbek Nazarbekov to discuss cooperation projects in the fields of culture, art, cinema, and music.
Bilateral Contacts Held in Tashkent
Visiting Tashkent within the framework of the celebrations for the 35th anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence, Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy held talks to strengthen relations between the two countries.
Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy visited the Center of Islamic Civilization in Tashkent and held an official meeting with Uzbekistan's Minister of Culture, Ozodbek Nazarbekov.
Culture and Heritage Projects Discussed
During the meeting, the implementation of new joint projects in line with the 2026-2027 Cultural Cooperation Plan was highlighted and evaluated in detail.
Issues regarding the preservation of the two countries' shared cultural heritage, restoration and conservation works, foundation artifacts, and the expansion of activities in the field of archaeology were brought to the agenda.
Minister Ersoy stated that it would be possible to share Turkey's experience and expertise in nighttime museum operations with Uzbekistan.
Agreements in Cinema and Music
While emphasizing the importance of initiating the production processes for the film titled "Heroes of Turkestan" in the field of cinema, the implementation of the Audiovisual Co-Production Agreement was also targeted.
Additionally, a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Culture was officially signed between the General Directorate of Fine Arts and the Philharmonic Orchestra of Uzbekistan.
