The 30th Istanbul Theatre Festival Opens Its Doors in October
The award ceremony for the 30th Istanbul Theatre Festival, organized by İKSV and starting on October 22, has been held, with the Honorary Award presented to Tilbe Saran.
The 30th Istanbul Theatre Festival, organized by İKSV with the sponsorship of Koç Holding Energy Group, is preparing to meet theatre enthusiasts between October 22 and December 3.
Festival Dates and Scope
Organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts with the sponsorship of Koç Holding Energy Group companies, the 30th Istanbul Theatre Festival will open its curtains on October 22 and continue until December 3. Curated by Mehmet Birkiye, the festival will present an audience program consisting of six international and eleven local performances.
Honorary Award Finds Its Recipient
The award ceremony held prior to the start of the festival took place at The Marmara Hotel Taksim, hosted by Salih Bademci. During the evening, the 30th Istanbul Theatre Festival Honorary Award was presented to acclaimed actor Tilbe Saran.
Executive Statements and Support
İKSV Chairman of the Board Bülent Eczacıbaşı emphasized that the festival brings together artists from Turkey and around the world. Meanwhile, Koç Holding Energy Group President Yağız Eyüboğlu expressed his satisfaction with the group's long-standing support for the festival.
Venues and Ticket Sales
Throughout the festival, a total of 17 different venues on both sides of Istanbul will host theatrical plays. Tickets for the event will go on general sale following the pre-sale period for Tulip Card members.
