The 7th İdil Biret Festival Begins in Datça, Menteşe, and Bodrum
Implemented by the Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, the festival will offer free concerts and workshops to art lovers between September 14 and 17.
Organized under the auspices of the Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, the 7th İdil Biret Festival is preparing to host classical music gatherings in the districts of Datça, Menteşe, and Bodrum from September 14 to 17.
Scope and Purpose of the Festival
Led by the Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Symphony Orchestra, the organization aims to pass on the artistic approach of world-renowned pianist İdil Biret to future generations. Within the scope of the events spanning three different districts, four concerts and one music workshop will be held.
Opening Concert in Datça
The first gathering of the event will take place on September 14 at 20:00 at the Datça Amphitheatre. Pianist Hande Dalkılıç and 18-year-old pianist Can Saraç will perform accompanied by the Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Symphony Orchestra.
Menteşe and Bodrum Events
The festival program will continue on September 15 in Menteşe with a concert by the Barcarol Trio, followed on September 16 by a music workshop by Hande Dalkılıç and a Hitit Trio concert in Bodrum.
Grand Closing Ceremony
The closing concert will meet music lovers on September 17 at 20:00 at Muğla City Square, and the events will be held entirely free of charge and open to the public.
