The Excitement of EFEST 2026 Begins in Efes Selçuk
Opening its doors on September 5 in Efes Selçuk, the festival will host music, art, book signings, and various openings for four days.
Starting on September 5 in Efes Selçuk, EFEST 2026 will last for four days with culture, art, music, book signings, children's activities, and various openings.
Festival Cortege and Opening Ceremony
EFEST 2026 will kick off with the EFEST Cortege starting in front of the Municipal Service Building on Saturday, September 5 at 18:00 and ending at the Marketplace. Following the cortege, folk dances, modern dance performances, and kakapedia dance groups will take the stage.
Children's Activities and Shows
Children's play workshops, activity areas, and an inflatable playground will be set up in the Old Night Market. Throughout the festival, magic shows, giant bubble shows, puppet and mime performances will be organized for children.
Cultural Events and Book Signings
Tahsin Başaran Street will host the EFEST Book Fair Street, and within the scope of the festival, Beyza Alkoç and Şükrü Erbaş will meet with their readers. In addition, healthy living talks will be held at the Selçuk Efes City Memory.
Important Openings and Liberation Ceremony
On September 8, the 104th anniversary of the liberation of Efes Selçuk, the clock tower will meet the city again in its old location, and the Liberation Cafe located under the Amphitheatre will be opened. A hot air balloon show will also be held at the Old Garage.
Concerts and Music Performances
Throughout the festival, the Efes Selçuk Municipality Children's Orchestra, the IzBB Smyrna Ensemble Orchestra, Deep Sound Orchestra, Barış Bilgili, Ayça Gümrükçü with Multipolar, 892 Orchestra, and Şelale Şehnaz Sam will take part with stage performances.
