The Inflation Research Group shared the E-CPI data for August 2026 with the public. According to the calculations made, monthly and annual rates of change in consumer prices were determined.
August E-CPI Rates
According to the data announced by the Inflation Research Group, the ENAGroup Consumer Price Index recorded an increase of 2.24 percent in August compared to the previous month.
In the same period, the annual inflation increase rate materialized at the level of 49.03 percent, and the calculations were announced to the public.
Comparison with Last Month's Data
According to ENAG data, inflation in the previous month of July had shown a monthly increase of 3.07 percent.
The 12-month increase rate was calculated and recorded as 50.49 percent in July.
ITO and TurkStat Developments
According to Istanbul Chamber of Commerce data, retail prices in Istanbul increased by 1.66 percent monthly in July, and annual inflation was announced as 34.96 percent.
Official inflation data for August by the Turkish Statistical Institute is expected to be announced at 10:00.
