Three cities across three continents meet in the common language of art
An international art project bringing together Izmir, Lisbon, and San Francisco aims to increase the visibility of female artists on global platforms.
Coordinated by the Izmir Commodity Exchange, the TOBB Izmir Women Entrepreneurs Board project has brought together three cities located at similar latitudes through art.
Aim and Scope of the Project
Covering the cities of Izmir, Lisbon, and San Francisco, which are located at similar latitudes, the project aims to increase the international visibility of female artists.
Aimed at strengthening intercultural communication, the initiative was designed to lay the groundwork for lasting global collaborations.
High Attendance at the Opening Ceremony
Konak Mayor Nilüfer Çınarlı Mutlu attended the opening of the exhibition, which brought together the business and art worlds.
Executives from the Izmir Commodity Exchange and members of the TOBB Izmir Women Entrepreneurs Board also took part in the event.
Hybrid Exhibition Model
Combining physical and digital presentations, the hybrid model builds an artistic bridge between the three cities.
While a historical mansion hosts the works of female artists from Izmir, other pieces are presented digitally.
International Art Economy
The project actively supports female artists' access to international exhibition and sales platforms.
This initiative aims to pave the way for women to become strong actors in the global art economy.
