Museums and archaeological sites affiliated with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism broke a record in 2025 by hosting 34 million 836 thousand visitors and generating 7 billion 306 million liras in revenue.

Museums and archaeological sites affiliated with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism reached record levels in visitors and revenue in 2025. The number of visitors increased by approximately 7 percent, and revenue increased by over 34 percent compared to the previous year.

The number of visitors, which was 32 million 547 thousand 756 in 2024, increased by 2 million 288 thousand 251 people in 2025 to rise to 34 million 836 thousand 7.

On the revenue side, the amount of 5 billion 438 million 244 thousand 80 liras recorded in 2024 exceeded 7.3 billion liras with an increase of approximately 1.87 billion liras.

Most Visited Places

İzmir Ephesus Archaeological Site became the archaeological site that hosted the most visitors in 2025 with 2 million 552 thousand 734 people and took the top spot.

Ephesus was followed by Denizli Hierapolis Archaeological Site with 2 million 302 thousand 218 visitors, and Nevşehir Göreme Archaeological Site also received intense interest by exceeding the million threshold.
