Daily Electricity Production Exceeds Consumption in Turkey
While daily electricity production across the country exceeded the consumption amount, export figures in foreign trade significantly surpassed imports.
Across Turkey yesterday, daily electricity production was 888,196 megawatt-hours, while total consumption was recorded at 868,598 megawatt-hours.
Daily Production and Consumption Balance
According to data shared by Turkey's Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEİAŞ), daily electricity production surpassed the consumption amount. Yesterday, 888,196 megawatt-hours of electricity were produced nationwide, while consumption stood at 868,598 megawatt-hours.
Hourly Consumption Distribution
On an hourly basis, the highest electricity consumption was recorded at 20:00 with 42,399 megawatt-hours. The lowest electricity consumption of the day was measured at 06:00 in the morning with 31,529 megawatt-hours.
Resource Distribution in Production
Dammed hydroelectric power plants took the largest share in daily electricity production with 22.1%. Imported coal power plants ranked second with a 19.6% share, and solar power plants were in third place with a 15.9% share.
Electricity Exports and Imports
Following production exceeding consumption, Turkey realized 22,148 megawatt-hours of electricity exports yesterday. During the same period, total electricity imports were recorded at 2,607 megawatt-hours.
