Cevdet Yılmaz's Statement on Economic Growth and Inflation Targets in Elazığ
Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz stated that they project the Turkish economy to grow by 5 percent in 2029 and that per capita income will exceed 20,000 dollars in 2026.

Expectation of Five Percent Growth in 2029
Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz noted that growth is expected to be 3.7 percent in 2025 and 3.3 percent in 2026, and with the Medium-Term Program, growth will reach 5 percent in 2029.
Declining Targets for Inflation and Current Account Deficit
Stating that inflation, which stood at 31.5 percent as of August 2026, will be reduced to single digits, Yılmaz conveyed that the ratio of the current account deficit to national income is targeted to drop to 1.6 percent.
Per Capita Income and Employment Projections
While national income is expected to exceed 1.8 trillion dollars and per capita income to surpass 20,000 dollars in 2026, it is planned to provide approximately 2.1 million additional jobs.
Economic Cost of Terrorism and Strategic Goals
Emphasizing that the cost of terrorism over the past 40 years has been at least 2.3 trillion dollars, Yılmaz stated that the goal of a Terror-Free Turkey will unleash economic potential.
