Consumer confidence index declined in August

Outlook of Sub-Details
When the sub-details of the index were examined, it was observed that there was a decline in consumers' perception of the current situation and their 12-month expectations, whereas there was an increase in the propensity to consume.
Decrease in the Expectation Index
Prepared within this framework, the Bloomberg HT Consumer Expectation Index recorded a decrease of 7.15 percent compared to the final index of the previous month, taking the value of 74.47.
Increase in Propensity to Consume
On the other hand, the Consumer Propensity Index, which measures the suitability of the period for purchasing durable consumer goods, automobiles, and housing, increased by 6.95 percent to reach the level of 76.55.
