According to the August foreign trade data announced by Trade Minister Ömer Bolat, exports increased by 8.1 percent on an annual basis to reach 23.5 billion dollars, breaking a monthly record.

According to the August foreign trade data shared by Trade Minister Ömer Bolat, exports increased by 8.1 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching the level of 23.5 billion dollars.

January-August Period Developments

While total exports in the first eight months of the year left behind the level of 185 billion dollars, significant economic growth was recorded during this period.

Annualized Export Record

According to the announced data, annualized exports rose to the level of 280.3 billion dollars, reaching the highest level in the history of the Republic and signing a new record.

Imports and Foreign Trade Deficit

In the same period, imports increased by 10.5 percent to 28.7 billion dollars, while the foreign trade deficit increased by 22.3 percent to 5.2 billion dollars.
