Minister Gürlek stated that one of the most important issues is finding Gülistan Doku's remains and that teams are working on this with great sensitivity.

One of the most critical developments in the file was the statement given by fugitive suspect Umut Altaş in the US. Queried in Pennsylvania by FBI and US Homeland Security Investigations officials within the scope of Turkey's request for judicial assistance, Altaş claimed that he saw Mustafa Türkay Sonel shoot Gülistan Doku inside a vehicle with a pistol.
