Within the scope of the fund investigation closely concerning financial markets in Turkey, the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office requested financial data from MASAK. As the number of detainees in the investigation reached 56, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a critical meeting with the economic management and heads of regulatory institutions in Ankara.

Financial Data Request from MASAK

New steps have been taken in the fund investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. With the writ sent by the prosecutor's office to MASAK on September 17, it was requested to obtain detailed financial data belonging to the executives of the companies within the scope of the investigation.

Related Companies and Executives

Institutions named in the writ include Pusula Finans Holding AŞ, Tera Yatırım Menkul Değerler AŞ, Hedef Holding AŞ, and Bulls Yatırım Menkul Değerler AŞ. Additionally, it was requested to examine the financial data of executives working in the subsidiaries of these companies.

Number of Detainees Increased

Out of the suspects who were detained and referred to the Istanbul Courthouse within the framework of the investigation, 19 were arrested, while 2 were released under judicial control conditions. In ongoing operations, 8 more suspects were detained and 6 of them were arrested. Thus, the total number of detainees rose to 56.

Critical Economy Summit in Ankara

While developments in the fund investigation continued, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan came together with the economic management and heads of regulatory and supervisory institutions in Ankara. During this meeting, the latest situation in the financial markets was evaluated.

Names Attending the Meeting

Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz and Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek attended the critical summit in Ankara. The heads of Borsa Istanbul, the Capital Markets Board, and the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency were also present at the meeting.
