Gold Rises as Dollar Declines

Gold recorded gains on Tuesday alongside a decline in the U.S. dollar. As investors focused on critical upcoming inflation data from the U.S., spot gold rose to $4,429.89 per ounce.
Spot Gold Up 0.6 Percent
Spot gold showed a 0.6 percent increase, rising to $4,429.89 per ounce. U.S. gold futures for December delivery remained flat at $4,475.10.
Dollar Index Declines
The U.S. dollar index declined by 0.4 percent. This drop made dollar-priced precious metals more attractive to investors using other currencies.
Critical Inflation Data Awaited
The primary focus of the markets is on upcoming data that could shape the Fed's next policy move. The U.S. Producer Price Index data is expected to be released on Thursday, and the Consumer Price Index data on Friday.
Latest Status in Precious Metals
Alongside the rise in gold, other precious metals also gained value. Spot silver increased by 1 percent to $66.78, platinum rose by 0.4 percent to $1,834, and palladium gained 1 percent to reach $1,402.87.
