July Comparison
These commercial loans had shown a 4.4 percent annual increase in July, reaching their highest level in the last 3 years. With the data for August, this rate recorded a decline compared to the previous month.
Household Loans Remained Stable
During the same period, the growth rate of loans granted to households managed to maintain its level of 3.1 percent from July. This rate retains the title of the highest level recorded since the beginning of 2023.
Latest Situation in Money Supply
The broad monetary aggregate M3, which is the widest measure of money supply across the Euro Area, recorded an annual growth of 3.5 percent in August.
