Household Inflation Expectation and September Investment Preferences Announced
According to the Central Bank survey, the inflation expectation for September stood at 45.60 percent, while gold strengthened its top spot in citizens' investment preferences.
According to the results of the Household Expectation Survey published by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, the 12-month-ahead annual inflation expectation reached 45.60 percent in September. Gold ranked first among investment preferences, while housing preferences declined.
Change in Inflation Expectation
According to the results of the Household Expectation Survey published by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, households' 12-month-ahead annual inflation expectation recorded an increase of 0.02 points in September compared to the previous month.
As a result of the evaluations made, it was officially announced that the annual inflation expectation for the upcoming period in September materialized at the level of 45.60 percent.
Gold and Real Estate in Investment Preferences
When participants' investment preferences were examined in detail, the proportion of citizens considering buying gold, who ranked first, showed an increase of 1.7 points compared to the previous month.
With this increase, the proportion of those saying they would buy gold rose to 43.0 percent, while a significant drop was observed in real estate investments, which ranked second.
Housing and US Dollar Exchange Rate Expectations
The proportion of those expecting an increase in housing prices at the end of the next 12 months decreased by 1.44 points compared to the previous month, falling to 30.69 percent.
On the other hand, the US dollar exchange rate expectation projected by participants for 12 months ahead increased by 1.43 Turkish Liras compared to the previous month, becoming 55.90 Turkish Liras.
