Liquidation period for mutual funds extended to six months
With the decision of the Capital Markets Board, the maximum period for the liquidation of mutual funds has been extended to six months.
In line with new principle decisions taken by the Capital Markets Board, the maximum period previously set at three months for mutual funds to be liquidated has been increased to six months.
New Regulation on Liquidation Period
Within the framework of new principle decisions taken by the Capital Markets Board, changes were made to the procedures and principles of fund liquidation. In this context, portfolio structures and market developments were taken into consideration.
Period Extended to Six Months
With the new regulation, the liquidation period for mutual funds announced to be liquidated, which was previously applied as a maximum of 3 months, was increased to 6 months.
Authorized Banks
Previously, on September 17, the Board had authorized Türkiye İş Bankası and Ziraat Bankası to carry out the processes regarding 131 mutual funds liquidated by 7 portfolio management companies.
