Ministry of Treasury and Finance: Turkey has no gray list risk
According to the published FATF report, it has been officially registered that Turkey has no strategic deficiencies and does not carry the risk of being on the international gray list.
The Ministry of Treasury and Finance announced that with the 5th Round Mutual Evaluation Report published by the Financial Action Task Force, it has been registered that Turkey has no strategic deficiencies in combating financial crimes and no gray list risk.
Results of the FATF Report
In a written statement issued by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, it was announced to the public that the Financial Action Task Force 5th Round Mutual Evaluation Report has been published on the institution's official website.
Degree of Technical Compliance
As a result of the evaluation regarding technical compliance, it was determined that Turkey is fully compliant with 38 out of the Financial Action Task Force's 40 recommendations.
Effectiveness Evaluations
In examinations conducted in terms of effectiveness, Turkey was evaluated in the category of substantially effective in 3 of the 11 short-term outcomes, and moderately effective in 8.
Combating Capacity and Future Studies
The statement emphasized that the obtained results demonstrate Turkey's steadily strengthening capacity to combat financial crimes, and that efforts will continue in the areas identified in the report.
