New Medium-Term Program Covering 2027-2029 Period Announced

Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz announced the new Medium-Term Program covering the 2027-2029 period to the public at a meeting held at the Presidential Complex.
Introductory Meeting Held at the Complex
At the meeting held at the Presidential Complex, the new Medium-Term Program covering the upcoming three-year period was introduced to the public.
High-ranking state officials and leading figures of the economic administration participated in the announcement of the program.
Major Increase in Defense Expenditures
In line with the newly announced program, it was stated that a decision was made to increase Turkey's defense expenditures by 229 percent.
It is aimed to accelerate investments by allocating additional resources to the defense industry and strategic technologies.
Technology Transfer to Civilian Industries
It is planned to transfer the technological accumulation and competencies acquired in the defense sector to civilian areas, primarily healthcare.
By spreading the developed capabilities to other industrial branches, it is aimed to increase added value.
International Joint Platform Objectives
Within the scope of the program, it is envisaged to establish product-based joint platforms in the defense industry with friendly and fraternal countries.
Joint efforts are expected to contribute both to technology development and to increasing market share.
