Non-residents sold bonds and bought stocks last week
According to Central Bank data, foreign investors bought stocks last week while selling government internal debt securities and private sector bonds.
According to the Weekly Securities Statistics published by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, non-resident individuals carried out transactions worth millions of dollars last week.
Securities Transactions
According to the Weekly Securities Statistics data published by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, the transactions of foreign investors have become clear. Non-resident individuals bought stocks throughout last week while being on the selling side of debt securities.
Stock Purchases and Stocks
Last week, non-resident individuals made a total of $358.6 million in stock purchases. Following these transactions, the stock portfolio decreased from $39.355 billion to $38.8714 billion.
Bond and Debt Security Sales
Bond sales drew attention in the transactions of non-residents. Investors sold $409.9 million worth of Government Internal Debt Securities (DİBS) during the relevant period, while the DİBS stock fell to $17.1179 billion.
Private Sector Bond Stock and Latest Status
During the same period, unwinding was also observed on the side of Sectoral Issues Outside the General Government. Non-residents realized $434.4 million in Private Sector Bond (ÖST) sales, and the related stock dropped from $4.0871 billion to $3.6384 billion.
