Sectoral Inflation Expectations for September 2026 Announced
The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey announced the sectoral inflation expectations for September; market and household expectations increased, while the real sector declined.
The Sectoral Inflation Expectations for September 2026 were shared with the public by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey. According to the disclosed data, the expectations of market participants and households for the upcoming period recorded a slight increase.
Expectations by Group
Annual inflation expectations for twelve months later varied by group in September. The rate for market participants rose to 23.70 percent.
While the household inflation expectation rose to 45.60 percent, the real sector's expectation declined and was recorded at 32.50 percent.
Groups Expected to See the Highest Increases
Food, fuel, and energy groups ranked at the top of the areas where households evaluated prices to have increased the most over the past year.
It continued to be projected that prices will increase the most in these items over the next 12-month period.
Housing and Exchange Rate Expectations
The expectation for price increases in housing at the end of the next twelve months decreased in September compared to the previous month.
The projected dollar exchange rate expectation for the same period recorded an increase compared to the previous month.
Investment Preferences
When the investment preferences of participants were examined, gold purchasing continued to take first place, and the proportion of those stating this preference increased.
A decline was observed in the proportion of participants stating they would make real estate investments compared to the previous month.
