Tourist Karaelmas Express Begins 2026 Trips in October
Operating between Ankara and Zonguldak, the Tourist Karaelmas Express will resume services in October, offering the opportunity to explore the Western Black Sea region.
Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that the Karaelmas Express, operated for tourism purposes between Ankara and Zonguldak, will return to the tracks in October and carry out a total of 8 trips.
Trip Dates and Planning
The Tourist Karaelmas Express will start its trips for 2026 on October 2 and will perform a total of 8 trips, consisting of 4 departures and 4 returns.
Route and Departure Times
Journeys from Ankara to Zonguldak and from Zonguldak to Ankara will be operated with departures on Fridays and Saturdays at 23:00.
Capacity and Wagon Information
The train that will serve during the railway journeys will consist of a total of seven wagons, including six sleeping cars and one dining car, operating with a passenger capacity of 120.
Tourist Stops and Route
Planned sightseeing stops will be made in Yenice on the Ankara-Zonguldak route, and in Çankırı and Kalecik on the return route.
