Warning from SGK Expert Regarding Premium Notifications Directly Affecting Retirement Pensions
It was reported that premium notifications made to the Social Security Institution must be complete to prevent employees from losing their rights regarding retirement pensions. It was noted that correctly reflecting overtime, bonuses, and premium payments in SGK records directly determines the pension amount in the long term.
SGK expert İsa Karakaş emphasized that prime-earnings reported to the Social Security Institution play a decisive role in calculating retirement pensions, stating that employees should regularly check their payrolls and service statements.
The Impact of Prime-Earnings on Retirement Pensions
It was stated that notifications made based on low earnings negatively affect calculated retirement pensions in the long term. In addition to the basic wage, overtime pay, bonuses, premiums, and general holiday payments must also be reported to the SGK in accordance with the legislation.
The Importance of Payroll and Service Statement Verification
It was recalled that, according to the Labor Law, work exceeding 45 hours per week is considered overtime and is paid with a 50 percent increase on the normal hourly rate. Employees are advised to review their signed monthly payrolls and service statements, and to apply to official authorities or seek legal support in case of a dispute.
