GNÇ Turkey Cinema Festival Reaches 777 Thousand Spectators in Its Second Year
Organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the festival welcomed moviegoers in approximately 1,500 theaters across 75 provinces.
In its second year on September 26-27, the GNÇ Turkey Cinema Festival brought 777 thousand spectators to movie theaters in about 1,500 halls across 75 provinces over two days.
Festival Details and Participation
Organized by the Cinema Theater Investors Association (SİSAY) with the support of the General Directorate of Cinema of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the festival saw great interest throughout Turkey over the weekend.
During the events held on September 26-27 in approximately 1,500 halls across 75 provinces, films met audiences with a ticket price of 90 liras.
Statements by Minister Ersoy
Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy stated in a post on his social media account that the festival reached 777 thousand spectators in two days.
Ersoy expressed that this intense interest once again demonstrated the unifying power of cinema.
Future Goals and Expectations
Emphasizing that as the Ministry they will continue to support domestic film production and strengthen the connection of young people with cinema, Ersoy thanked everyone who showed interest in the festival.
Organizers plan to continue the festival next year, aiming to bring moviegoers back together in theaters on September 25-26, 2027.
